Public Aether26 Privacy Policy covering location, notifications, billing, advertising, providers, security, retention, and data deletion.
INDEPENDENT APPLICATION (NO OFFICIAL AFFILIATION)
AETHER26 is a private, independent application. It does not represent, and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by NOAA, the National Weather Service (NWS), the National Hurricane Center (NHC), USGS, AirNow/EPA, NASA, the Government of Puerto Rico, the United States Government, or any other government entity. When the app labels data as "official," it refers to the SOURCE of the data (for example, an official NWS advisory), not to AETHER26.
PUBLIC-SOURCE INFORMATION
AETHER26 aggregates and visualizes information from public and third-party sources (NWS/NOAA, NHC, USGS, AirNow/EPA, NASA, JMA, GDACS, PRASA/AAA, U.S. Drought Monitor, Iowa Environmental Mesonet, Google Weather, OpenStreetMap/CARTO/Esri, among others). AETHER26 visualizations and translations are independent adaptations; the original source is identified in the app. Those data may be delayed, interrupted, inaccurate, or unavailable for reasons beyond our control.
INFORMATIONAL PURPOSE — DISCLAIMER (IMPORTANT)
All information (radar, advisories, Saharan dust indices, buoys, rivers, air quality, seismic and tropical activity, automatic translations, cell ETA, etc.) is provided "AS IS," for general situational awareness only. It does NOT constitute professional advice or a sole basis for evacuation, safety, or survival decisions. In an emergency, ALWAYS follow the official instructions of emergency management authorities and the formal advisories of the NWS/NHC and civil defense. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AETHER26 and its operators shall not be liable for damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app or from the accuracy of the data.
AUTOMATIC TRANSLATIONS
Some advisory translations are AI-generated and UNOFFICIAL; they may contain errors. In case of any discrepancy, the original official NWS/NHC text prevails.
AETHER26 PRO SUBSCRIPTION
AETHER26 Pro is an auto-renewing subscription managed by Google Play on Android and Apple App Store on iOS. The price, currency, and period are shown by the applicable store before confirmation. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal from your account's subscription settings. Management, cancellation, and refund requests are handled through the store where you purchased, under its policies. Pro benefits include removal of ads where offered and access to the advanced layers and features described in the app.
ACCEPTABLE USE
You must not reverse engineer our intermediary APIs, abuse the service, or bulk-redistribute the data in ways that violate the terms of the original sources.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The AETHER26 brand, design, and software belong to their owners. Third-party data belongs to its respective sources.
CHANGES AND GOVERNING LAW
We may modify these terms by publishing an updated version in the app. Continued use implies acceptance. These terms are governed by the mandatory laws applicable in your jurisdiction of residence.
